About Nguyen Thuy Linh

Nguyen Thuy Linh, a Vietnamese #1 Badminton player - born in 1997, is a #TeamVisa athlete at Olympic Games Paris 2024.

Nguyen Thuy Linh found her passion of badminton after being introduced to the sport by her grandfather at 7 years old and is living her dream of being a professional athlete. Linh has been officially qualified for Olympic Games 2024 and more ready than ever to take on the game.

Linh has emerged as one of the badminton players on the international scene. She marked her debut in the Vietnamese badminton team when she first attended SEA Games 28 (2015), at the age of 18. Affter years of hard work and determination, Thuy Linh has proven herself a fierce competitor, claiming the top spot in Vietnam.

Linh won the National Championship 10 times in total. She also won the International Badminton Tournament held in Belgium, became the first Vietnamese player to win the throne at the Vietnam Open in 2022 and again in 2023. Most recently in 2024, she claimed the runner-up position at the German Open, making a significant milestone in her career.

According to the Badminton World Federation, Linh entered top 20 in the world ranking for the first time in 2023.
